Antec has silently dismissed from its lineup several SPCR-oriented products.

Among them I will miss particularly:

1) Antec True Quiet 140
2) Antec NSK-3480
3) Antec P183V3
4) Antec NSK-1480/Antec Micro Fusion Remote
5) Antec Mini P180

1) Antec True Quiet 140
='(... dont know why they would be dismissing a great fan, specially there are not that many options still on 140. They should have made a SOLO III with those true quiet 140s.... with more room for cable management and would be a very good.

Well to be fair Antec do have a LOT of cases, especially in their New Solution line. Sad to see the NSK3480 go. I thought that the P180 Mini had gone away about 5 years back?

So what are they replacing these products with?

If anyone from Antec happens to read this thread it would be nice to get their side of the story too.

AFAIK:
  • the NSK1480/Micro Fusion was not replaced, so that there are no (more) pure desktop (horizontal) cases in the Antec's lineup;
  • the previous Performance-series was entirely replaced by the P100/P280, as expected (IMHO at a lower quality level), while the Mini P180 was present in EU lineup till last june (when however the relevant availability were already questionable) and it won't be replaced despite Antec showed off a newer Performance mATX case at Computex 2012;
  • the 140mm True Quiet fan hasn't been replaced, the only 140mm fan is now the TwoCool;
  • the NSK3480 was replaced by a lower end model, the way cheaper NSK3180: despite sporting a substantial MSRP of 90 bucks, it offers different, less favourable dimensions (depth increased from 36cm to 41cm, width decreased from 20cm to 18cm) with noticeably inferior build quality (from 0.8mm cold-rolled steel to 0.7mm SGCC, weight decreased from 8.1Kg to 6.8Kg despite the volume increased from 25.2lt up to 26.6lt, no more thumb screws), with more restrictive intakes and way less powerful cooling (no more dual chamber, unable to host 120/140mm tower heatsinks, 1x80m optional front + 1x92mm fixed speed rear, against the former 1x120mm variable speed rear and 2x92mm optional front) and still not existent cable management (there's still neither a single tray cut all over the place, nor any proper cable anchor). Summarizing, a real turd, something to blame Antec on for the next century (personally I'd fire their enclosures PM just for that).

Eventually, about overlapping products, Antec has still plenty (look at their different Seasonic G-series PSUs, but always overpriced).

I assume by 'dismissed' the topic starter means that Antec has stopped manufacturing and advertising them. But there may still be substantial number of these parts in warehouses around the world.
