D8000 Rear panel problem, please help.

D8000 Rear panel problem, please help.
The rear l/O panel is incompatable with my motherboard (Intel) and the Intel one isn't compatable with the case. Anyone have a solution? Jim at Coolcases is great and he;s looking into it, but since he didn't know right away I thought he may have a problem figuring out a solution, so I'm asking here too.

I have an ASUS board in my D8000, but same thing.
1- Unscrewed the original and threw it in the parts pile.
2- Popped in the one that came with the ASUS board.
3- Gently tapped the corners of the ASUS I/O panel with the back of the screwdriver until it was in and flush.
You have a pic of the panel next to the case opening?

The size of the I/O panel hole is an ATX 2.1 standard so every ATX case should have the same size hole, D8000 included. The standard size of the hole is 6.250 ±.008" x 1.750 ±.008".
I've built a few different systems using the SLK3700 (D8000 resold by Antec) and had no problem snapping the I/O panels into the case after I removed the original screwed-in one.

Please forgive a newbie, it fits fine, it just looked so different since it didn't have the extra piece with the screws and since the edge on the intel board looked like it would have to hook up with something special.

Also, anyone know if the case is USB 2.0? Alot of people complain about Antec not being 2.0 and since this is similar I wonder about it, but probably won't have a 2.0 device for awhile to twst it out. Anyway to tell by looking?
I also was wondering why th three studs at the bottom are permanent, what happens if you have a different kind of board? And there was a brass one in the dead center?
Is a Fortron 350W supply enough for 2 optical drives, 2 hard drives, an ATI 9700, and a high end sound card? Also wondering how future proof a 350W supply will be?

I got the 2 JMC 120 fans w/grommets, the 350W supply w/120 fan, and with the grommets on the hard drive rack and a seagate drive I'm hoping it will be quiet enough without having to use dampening. Any opinions on whether this setup will be pretty quiet? Oh, and I have the fron fan @ 12V and the rear @ 7V.

Yeah, that's kind of weird. They're spaced per normal ATX specs however, so they should be in the correct place to line up with any ATX MoBo. It should be OK to leave them in place.
