Case Suggestions - Require case with covered switches

Enclosures and acoustic damping to help quiet them.

Case Suggestions - Require case with covered switches

Post by prjparry » Thu Jun 26, 2003 4:10 am

I wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of an ATX case (less than 500mm high) which has a cover over the front. This cover must also hide the power and reset switches etc.

Having built a relatively silent pc using a Lian case I'm finding my 20month old is switching the thing on an off whilst its idling away in the corner of our open plan room!

Need to prevent him access from the switches so I can keep it on..

Thanks

Paul

Being a stupid American, I have no concept of 500mm. I assume that also means 50cm, which I also don't recognize. :)

Ahh found a converter, that's about 20 inches.

The Antec Sonata is 16.75" inches high. (425 mm) and has a nice lockable door.
Also the Antec SLK3700AMB 18.3" is (465mm). Some like it better than the Sonata.

Not sure where you're from whether you can get these cases.

the chieftech dragon DX-01WD is 522 mm and has a lockable front door, it might do the trick http://www.chieftec.com/products/dragon/dx01wd.htm
