Best Silent PC Build Yet :-)

Post by falcon26 » Wed Dec 31, 2014 9:55 am

I just built a new PC using a Fractal R5. I am using just 2 Akasa Black Apache PWM 120mm fans, one on the RAD for my corsair H55 CPU cooler and one as an intake. And let me tell you, this is by far the quietest PC I have ever built. I can't even tell its on. My Gtx 980 fans only come on when it gets to a certain temp, so for the most part they are off, as well as my corsair power supply fan. The Akasa fan at idle spins at 600 rpm. I haven't tested load temps yet, but idle temps are about 28 degrees for CPU and 40 for GPU. It was funny when I first finished the build I turned the PC on, and I heard nothing so I thought I forgot to hook up fans or something, so I opened the side of the PC and sure enough everything was working just fine :-) I don't even get any buzzz or hum noise from any component. Very pleased with this build and the R5 :-)
