It looks like Silverstone PS07-E could be the next big hit!

Enclosures and acoustic damping to help quiet them.

Everything about it is perfect for both silence and cooling, and frankly, I'm sick of unnecessarily big PC cases, which includes the the smallest mid-tower cases.

Thanks for posting. I am unsure, though that is would be easy to cool, and/or whether it would be quieter than any other case:

[removed picture of older case]

The PSU is at the top, and the rear case fan is at the bottom, and this means it may have higher temps and/or greater noise than other cases.

I do like smaller cases, all else being equal. And I like optical drive bays. This case has side intakes on the front, which is also good.

interesting.
looks like it would be easy to duct it so GPU and CPU had their own intake fan, and keep the heat separated.
dont really care for the PSU vent being exposed on the top of the case.

Not a huge change from the TJ08-E on the inside. The TJ08-E is generally well received so this should probably be pretty good.

Moreover, as the Fractal Arc Mini SPCR review already showed to us, that closed front panel probably won't make any substantial difference, silence-wise (at least, providing the right parts were used).

Likely the already released some months ago Silverstone KL-06 should be about as good for a relatively compact and quiet system (it shares the same chassis), but for a tad less money.

Silverstone KL-06 doesn't have sound-dampening material anywhere while this one does and has a closed front panel, which also has sound-dampening material.

Sound dampening material is JUST a marketing gimnick: it does about nothing (check the already linked SPCR review).

There seems to be some confusion in this thread. The interior shot posted by NeilBlanchard is of the older PS07, which is nearly identical inside to the TJ08-E. Both of those cases have been available for a while.

The case in the OP is the new PS07-E, which as can be seen in the Kitguru article has an entirely new layout. Compared to the old PS07/TJ08-E, the PSU is now on the bottom, the 3.5" hard drive cages have been split in two, and there is now just a single 5.25" bay. Also shown in the article is the TJ08-Pro, which again shares its chassis with the PS07-E (much like the TJ08-E/PS07), the only difference is in the front fans (1x 180mm vs. 2x120mm), and front bezel (front intake vs. side intakes), again basically the same difference as between the TJ08-E and PS07.

I'm surprised Silverstone never iterated on the PS07/TJ08E with an ITX and/or ATX version.

ITX would have been easy by chopping out two expansion slots and a 5 1/2" bay. ATX could have added more fan space/another bay, and the slots.

This trio of new cases really does not strike me as particularly innovative, and only the CS380 would I consider buying(homeserver use).

Okay, my mistake. Can someone please post pictures of the interior of this case?

Thanks Luca,

So, 1 optical drive bay, 4 total 3.5" bays, and a bottom PSU. What size motherboard is it?

I don't know why they still put optical drive bays in cases, I hope you can remove this one..

I want to be able to put a optical drive in - I still have programs on disks, and I want to be able to rip my own CD's.

mATX - I like it! And it appears to be able to fit long(er) video cards.

Seems like a very nice case, personally the only thing that i would like Silverstone to implement is 140mm fan support on the back.

Interesting case. I came across a video of this case tonight. https://youtu.be/xZDZoqbL_78?t=1m40s

Also found a page with a picture of the specs, which say it's 42.3 Liters and 450mm tall.
http://www.vmodtech.com/th/article/silv ... 015/page/2

So it's about the same height as the Define R5, just a bit narrower and not quite as as deep, is that right?
