Congratulations -- it does take perseverance! I got it working (again) on my Windows machine at work, recently. It is dead easy to install on a Mac, and while Linux is also pretty complicated (involving special commands, a Hex editor, etc. to get the Core downloaded and installed...), it does work predictably.

Looks like another 2k PPD, according to FAHMon, so I'm glad it's predictable
