I don't think it says you don't have to use WINE anymore, but it's a really confusing set of posts. It looks like for the origami tool, which appears to be just a wrapper around the standard folding@home executable, doesn't need WINE, and that makes sense. The gpu instructions still seem to imply that you need WINE, but again, it is pretty confusing. Since none of my linux boxes have good gpus in them, I can't test it out, although that may change sometime. But if you get any more good info, be sure to pass it along.

Now you see first hand why I decide to go with Vista 64 for my latest folding box. I like all the tools and monitors I get to use as well.

Yeah, I wrote my own little monitoring tool for my linux laptop, it's kinda crappy but it tells me what I need to know. Which reminds me, I noticed a bunch of dead links on that useful links thread, I should go report those.

anybody got radeon running GPU folding at least in WINE?
