PWM fans

Post by billrob » Mon Nov 20, 2006 4:10 pm

Does anyone have a list of available PWM (has a 4 pin connector) fans? I am specifically looking for one that is compatible with an AM2 socket, but does not extend more than about 5.2 inches above the CPU. I need to fit it into a Silverstone LC17 case. Thanks

you mean "fans" or "heatsinks with fans"?

afaik there are very few pwm dedicated fans (just fans)

sure, you can get an aftermarket heatsink w/o fan, find a 4pin pwn fan (if you can) and put it together

my bet would be one of thermalright heatsinks, they come w/o fans, are usually pretty flat, not tower designs (apart from tower hr series)

SI-97A with special bracket
SI-128
XP-90 w bracket
XP-120

maybe Ultra-90 (too high?)

My apologies, I was thking in terms of combined heat sinks and 4 pin PWM fans configured for the AM2 socket. There don't seem to be many on the market, and I have the height constraint (5.2 inches) imposed by the Silverstone case.
