P5LD2/C and Scythe Ninja

I have been reading a a little lately about compatibility problems with the Ninja and certain Mobos. I am buying a P5LD2/C, based on a friend's recommendation. However, he actually has the P5LD2 (not /C), and I am worried that some changes may make the Ninja a bad fit.
Can any one confirm a lack of changes in the mobo layout or experience of a good fit?
