92mm and 80mm silent fans needed with decent CFM

Post by stevet » Fri Feb 23, 2007 7:02 am

I have two different 250W moving head lights that have extremely noisy Sunon fans.
I'm concerned on replacing these with fans that are sleeve type due to the excessive heat enviroment. These lights get real hot!

There are two fans in each light. The base fan is for cooling the power supply. The head fan is for cooling the light cavity.

Here's the breakdown on the FANS for the:
Elation Power Spot 250
and the
Elation Design Wash 250 (just released Feb 2007)

------------------------------------
Elation Power Spot 250:
Head fan:
SUNON KDE1208PTV1
80mm x 25mm
12VDC
40CFM
33DBA

Base fan:
SUNON KDE1208PTV3
80mm x 25mm
12VDC
31CFM
26DBA
-------------------------------------

Elation Design Wash 250
Head fan:
SUNON KDE2409PTV1
92mm x 25mm
24VDC (WTF!)
49CFM
34DBA

Base fan:
SUNON KDE2408PTV1
80mm x 25mm
24VDC (WTF!)
40CFM
33DBA

I'm having a hard time finding fans that can move this much
air and have a lower noise spec.
Please help me out on this venture.
The lights are extremely loud. It sound like an aircraft is close by! hahaha
