building new pc, am2 motherboard suggestions ?

hi
im going to build a new pc over the summer. ive decided to go with a am2 x2 6000+ cpu
the problem is the motherboard/cpu heatsink combination

ive already got a scythe ninja but i understand its not comaptible with the Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard that ive been considering.
can anyone recommend an equally good heatsink that will fit the Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe ?

another option is the LANPARTY UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G
but ive seen some reports that it doesent play nicely with linux (im a linux guy), however most of those reports are a bit old. anyone tried this mobo with ubuntu feisty or other newish distros?

any other suggestions for am2 mobo/heatsink combo? i want silence and performance
