I'm building a new computer finally. I've been stuck with my old P4 for a little over 5 years now, and it's dying. It was a 2.6 ghz from gateway, and an ATI x800AIW PRO. at any rate i've been out of the computer building type of deal since forever (even though my original box was from gateway, over the 5 years i replaced everything except the cpu (yes even the floppy drive)).
So basically I want your opinions on the parts i've selected. I'd like to make an E8400/E8500 (preferably 8500... but i don't know when those will come out, and i've heard of some problems with OC'ing it due to boards not supporting the .5 multiplier). anyway here are my parts:
Case: Antec Solo <----- only part that will not be changed. i got it a while back on a killer deal. after rebate it only cost me $26
Mobo: Asus P5E X38

Exhaust Fan: Noctua NF-S12 1200 rpm Ultra Silent 120mm Fan

I've noticed that i've gotten positive pressure with this setup of fans, and i'd like for it to be a negative pressure setup. Any suggestions on how to make that happen?
So basically i've got roughly $1,800 to spend on this computer, and I want to make sure that it can run well, and that these components will run nicely together. i'd like to Overclock some because i've heard the E8400 OC's very nicely. If you can think of any parts that are better or if there are any costs that you think may be able to get cut please let me know. Please let me know of any suggestions you have for me. Thank you everyone.
-edit- i'd also like to mention that this rig will be used mostly for gaming and photoshopping. So if its not 100% silent, its still fine by me (cuz when i'm playing games its not going to matter too much). I mainly just want to get rid of my old case's noise that's horrible (open window w/ metal mesh and a bunch of generic brand fans that make cr@p tons of noise). I just don't want to hear it when i'm sleeping (as this will be a 24/7 type of rig).
New E8400 Build. need help with components.

for the most part i'm just concerned of the case fans and creating negative pressure in the case. I've been told the Antec Solo is made for Negative pressure (more air out than pulling in). I'm just wondering what kind of setup of fans can i use to achieve this feat. With the components i've chosen should i be looking into getting extra sound-proofing materials? thanks in advance for the replies
