-Gigabyte P35-DQ6
-Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (B3)
-Geforce 8800GTS (640mb)
-4x1GB Team Xtreem Dark 800mhz
-2x500GB Hitachi Hard Drives (Raid 0)
-Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic
-Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme with 1 Zalman 120mm fan (900 RPM)
-2 Zalman 120mm fans (900 RPM)
-2 Zalman 120mm fans (1200 RPM)
-Antec Truepower Quattro 850w
-Cooler Master Stacker 810
-Lite-On 20A1S
-Floppy Disk Drive

I want to buy this:

- Nexus 120mm fan (900 RPM) for my Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme
- Thermalright HR-03 PLUS
- Nexus 92mm fan (900 RPM) for my Thermalright HR-03 PLUS
- 2 Noctua NF-S12-1200 (600 RPM) for case
- Corsair HX520W

So then I don't have Zalman fans anymore and i hope a quiet pc

Hopefully this is the most silent solution for my pc. Any comments?

Looks great. I think that swapping that PSU is going to make a difference.

I'm posting because it just seems that your fan placement seems a bit backwards to me. High CFM on the GPU and CPU and low CFM on case intake and exhaust?
I think you are going to get some weird airflow in there. It might be worth a try to try it in your configuration and check your temps and then switch the fans around (120 mm 900 RPM exhaust and 92 mm RPM intake?) and check temps again.
In your configuration you should get better heat transfer from the CPU and GPU to the case air, but less case and outside air (and heat) exchange.

-the Noctua 120mm fans are for intake and exhaust

I know it's maybe a bit weird but I connect the Noctua fans with my motherboard and then when i use the "Ultra-Low-Noise Adaptor" I can get 600 RPM. The Nexus fans are connected with my fan controller so I can get the RPM I want .

hmm I just saw that the Nexus fans have closed corners. So they will not fit the Thermalright Coolers.

So I need

- 1 120mm fan for my Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme
- 1 92mm fan for my Thermalright HR-03 PLUS

any suggestions?

Scythe S-Flex fans?

that is possible for my Ultra-120 eXtreme but I still need a 92mm fan :/

And the Scythe S-Flex the 1200RPM version is great for me I think. So I can use my fancontroller to lower the fan to 800/900RPM and if it's really hot (lanparty ) then i can set it at full speed

Is it possible to mount a 120mm Scythe S-flex on a Thermalright HR-03 PLUS cooler with tie wrap?

Saw quite a few pictures of fans being mounted to the HR03 with tiewraps, so i think you can safely assume that you can.

You can cut the corners of the Nexus fan, so they will fit your thermalright heatsink.

You might want to change your hard disks to two Samsung Spinpoint. They're quieter than your Hitachi's.

I think i'm going to buy the Scythe S-Flex fans because of the high quality Sony-FDB bearing.

I maybe going to change the hard disks later but this is already 200 euro .

this is probably a stupid question but has the fan that is mounted on Thermalright HR-03 has to blow towards the videocard so through the heatsink or has the fan has to blow to the opposite direction

Toward the videocard, so through the heatsink is best. In theory it doesn't matter, because for the fan it's so that the air that comes in goes out. But it works better to mount it the other way around.

I'd be interested to hear other users' experiences with this question of which way to point the fan on an HR-03. Does it make a difference?

Plus, I believe that even though it's most common to have the HR-03 below the card, it is possible to configure it so curls round above it.

that's right. It has two ways to install. What do you think is the best way to install it? beneath the card or above the card
