Akasa Evo 120 in NSK1300 alternatives?

Post by nandystam » Thu Jun 19, 2008 8:31 pm

Hi foilks

I'm looking for a HSF similar to the Akasa Evo 120, as shown below in a fellow members setup:

I'm also building a system based on the NSK1300 so I'm looking for a similar-styled HSF that will allow me to keep the drive cage intact, yet use one rear 120mm fan for all cooling.

Akasa doesn't seem to be sold locally in Australia so I am looking for another HSF that will perform the same role.

All suggestions welcome :)

This HSF is sold under another brand in USA, maybe in Australia happens the same.

Masscool offers a product that may be useful for you:

Again, Masscool is just a brand, probably you can get the same HSF under different names in different countries. Of course it's all chinese stuff.

I've searched Rosewill and Masscool but can't seem to find these being sold in Aus either.

I'm sure there would be something like it by one of the "bigger" names, but I can't seem to find anything like that design.

Although if there is a more square/rectangular shaped cooler that fits in the space well and does the same job I don't mind.

Maybe Silverstone's NT01 or the new NT01-E will fit. It's not as tall as the Akasa but if you don't have a really power hungry CPU I think it will be fine.
