Does anyone on SPCR own either of the Direct-CU versions of Radeon HD5850 by Asus? What kind of noise levels are you having on the cards, and specifically what type of sound is the card's cooler making at idle speeds and under load?
I bought the card myself after reading numerous reviews of how silent it was supposed to be, and was sorely disappointed by the clicking / rattling sound made by the fan. It's not loud, but clearly audible when not covered by game or movie sounds.
Due to the stark contrast to reviews I'm wondering whether my cooler unit is deficient, so I'd be glad to hear any other user experiences of it.
