Link to Techpowerup news: http://www.techpowerup.com/140502/EKL-U ... tsink.html I believe it should be 'Alpenfoehn'.
The heatsink / heatpipe topology is what I dreamed about, so I'm almost in love with this upcoming GPU cooler!
I hope they will have a good VRM cooling solution too. And link to a nice picture of it: http://www.techpowerup.com/img/11-02-15/60b.jpg
This could turn out to be the ultimate GPU cooler, better than the AC Accelero Extreme or Thermalright Shaman.

What is the difference with the Gelid Icy Vision, appart from bigger fans ? Genreral design is the same... Another bigger is better cooler...
The fin arrangment is just going to creat more air turbulence noise I think.

Really nifty how half of those fans aren't blowing at anything. If you use two damned 140mm fans, make a cooler that matches them area-wise.

nah nah nah. i liked the fins because they were separate fins all cut up in segments like a mugen-2. more edge surface area. it'd definitely be better if they were all in a straight line though, you are right.

If it can fit those two 140mm fans why not have the heatsink extend out another inch and a half. If it can fit the fans it can fit the heat sink.

I feel like two 120mm fans would be more effective because 100% of the air would go through the heat sink instead of producing noise to move air that doesn't go through the heatsink.

it's still a really nice looking piece of kit, but it would be much nicer if it was bigger.

it looks like that fan mount would be adjustable for 140/120/92mm fans.

The design is different from the Icy Vision since the heatpipes are 6 U-shaped.
Not really like 12 heatpipes, but close. The Icy Vision only has 5 heatpipes, and NOT U-shaped.
The AC Accelero Extreme also has 5 U-shaped heatpipes, but they are even more uneven (left-right).

Not even that. The heatsink looks like it was designed for 92mm fans at best, even 80mm fans wouldn't be all that small.

That would not fit into many HTPC enclosures. The "small" one does.

I don't know about 92mm fans but 120mm fans will fit. On the product page it says that up to two 140mm fans or four 120mm fans can be mounted on the PCI bracket/mounting rail.

This is supposed to hit german e-tailers shortly after easter, according to a post by caseking.de on another forum.
For those who didn't know, Alpenföhn has up to now primarily been selling re-branded Deepcool products, and the Peter certainly looks to fit right in their design scheme.

Ooh, I just want the fan mounting bracket so that I can reduce the strain on my card whatever heatsink I use!

From what Ive googled the construction is pretty nice, but what i dont get is how the fans are controlled. From a standard header on the motherboard? But how do you power the two Wingboost fans, which are 4 pin PWM?
