Any experience with Logisys VC2200 or AC Accelro L2 Plus?

They make noise, too.

Any experience with Logisys VC2200 or AC Accelro L2 Plus?

Post by WARDOZER9 » Sat Oct 15, 2011 7:55 am

I need smaller heatsink for a GTS 250 that will be going in a Dell E521 and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Logisys VC2200 or the AC Accelro L2 Plus. I found a few reviews on the Accelro L2 Pro which seems to be a minor step down from the Plus but just hoping to verrify.

I would almost prefer to go with the Logisys for 2 reasons, it has heatpipes which in theory should work better thank a chunk of aluminum and I can swap the fan with whatever 92mm I want.

I am digging the Accelero L2 Plus for the reason that the fan plugs into the video cards PCB so no need for a mobo or molex connector.

Here are links for the 2 products in question with pro's/cons in relation to eachother:

Logisys VC2200 $20.70 shipped from Directron
Pro's:
--- Fluid bearing fan included
--- Ability to accept any 92mm fan

Cons:
--- Logisys not a name associated with quality products
--- Logisys fans not known for reliability
--- Unable to find a single review for this heatsink

--- 1-year warranty ( booooooo )
--- Larger dimensions @ 109mm (L) x 121mm (W) x 60.5mm (H)

Arctic Cooling Accelero L2 Plus $21.47 shipped from SuperBiz ( eWiz )
Pro's:
--- It's made by AC
--- Uses one of AC's Fluid Dynamic PWM fans which are known for good quality and reasonable silence
--- Fan plugs directly into video cards PCB
--- Fan rated at 23.5 dba
--- Includes 8 memory and 8 vreg sinks as well as their MX-4 TIM and thermal glue? ( this has to be a first )
--- 120w cooling capacity
--- Wide GPU compatibility
--- Only weighs 250g
--- Lesser dimensions @ 119 (L) x 94 (W) x 51 (H) mm
