Passive & silent AMD Radeon 7950 x2 multi-GPU video card

AMD's Radeon Sky 900:
(Dual Tahiti) - (based on the downclocked 7950, a mGPU card with a decent size die and passive cooling)

Too bad it likely won't have Win7 or Win8 drivers. Is intended for servers that support Cloud gaming via streaming, servers that have airflow that is. May overheat in fanless desktop, but I'm still willing to give it a try if AMD releases Windows 7-64 bit drivers for this beast.

You've already outlined all the reasons why it's not suitable to be used in a passive application. The fins in that heatsink are too tightly packed, and it's designed to be cooled by the airflow from the server case fans which are LOUD. This card, even if it was released to the consumer will fry in a typical case. You're far better off with getting regular 7950 and doing "the mod" or getting high end cooler with slow moving fans.

That thing is gigantic. I like the way you think NeoGeo, I will await your build pics if the drivers get released :P
