Anyone out there have this monitor? I just ordered one from Amazon, as I had some promotional credits and they finally got them back in stock. B&H is cheaper, but their return policy is not consumer-friendly (no refunds, exchange-only for computer parts). I've been looking for a good value 16:10 IPS monitor that's not too large for my home office nook. I wanted to go up to a 27" IPS/PLS 1440p monitor, but they're all physically too tall for my space.

My old Dell E207WFP (20" 1680x1050) has been buzzing for over 2 years. I expected it to have died by now, but it annoyingly still works! It buzzes at all brightness settings. It gets louder depending on what's displayed on screen. I used to think it depended on specific colors - white especially. But that doesn't seem to be the case - scrolling up/down in an solid article of text changes the loudness of the buzzing! The baseline buzzing is audible from my chair, approx 3 feet away. It's audible over the fans in my PC, including the stock GPU fans (MSI Twin Frozr IV). Obviously the buzzing is more annoying than fan whoosh.

Supposedly the ASUS VS24AH-P *does* use PWM LED dimming, but at a frequency so high it isn't audible or visible. I'll know in a few days.

There are not too many reviews about this monitor. This is the only thorough review I could find: Overclockers.ru review (Google English translation from Russian).

Quick followup ... my new VS24AH-P makes ZERO noise. So that's cool. But now I understand what "IPS glow" is... :(
