Not worth in most reviews its very similar to the GTX1080Ti, and in average the 1080Ti is $100 cheaper (some sales are reaching $200 difference).

I was going to post this same point. Though, I wonder if the ray tracing will make a qualitative difference?

Gotta wait for ray tracing apps and games to release to find out :)

Generally, next gen Nvidia parts will have the performance of the last gen's step up part. Just like the 2080 vs the 1080 Ti. But, generally, they are less expensive, not more...

By the time that Ray tracing is a thing or matter for gamers, we will have a new gen or two, for now Ray tracing it's just a marketing gimik until all games adopt it.

Personally I care less about Ray tracing, but I find the pricing way too expensive, coming from $500 top end cards a few years back to star introducing the Titans and expanding the pricing now are getting above $1.2k.... it's ridiculous, the biggest problem it's not the pricing it's that we as a hole are accepting it, even if AMD releases Navi on 7nm and turn out competitive, AMD is going to slightly undercut Nvidia, we are not going back to $500 ever.

The only hope I see on the near future is Intel, sounds dumb as its is also a milking company, but maybe if this time labarbee manages to reach consumers maybe it's priced low to enter the market and take some market shares, forcing Nvidia and AMD to lower, then again this is just a dream.

Next gen also tends to use less power, therefore requiring less fan speed therefore quieter. Which is why I chose a 1060 over a 960/970. Therefore not "not worth it".
