New PicoPSU system with i5

Post by kajba » Mon Mar 07, 2011 6:23 am

Hi I am new here and i have been searching around for information about having a PicoPSU with an i5 system and but im not sure if it will be enough.

The plan was to use:

i5 750
DFI p55 m36
http://www.mini-box.com/picoPSU-160-XT
http://www.mini-box.com/12v-12-5A-AC-DC-Power-Adapter
HD5670
1 intel SSD
1 WD 2TB GP

Will PSU be enough to supply the machine?

Possibly but I didn't look at that graphic card. I wouldn't be comfortable using that even it it worked. I don't think it's even worth considering running a 95W CPU on a pico. In my opinion you should get a Sandy Bridge or a less powerful CPU if you want to use a pico. "i5" is only marketing by the way.
