I know a lot of you have been intrigued by Nforce4 and SLI and all the other goodies that come along with it like NCQ and SATA II. I happened to be browsing the other night on Zipzoomfly's website for the Neo4 Platinum which was supposed to be in stock as of 1/4/05. Well surprise surprise they moved the stock date again *sigh*, but while browsing I noticed they had the A8N-SLI from Asus for $199. Personally SLI doesn't intrigue me at all, I'm more interested in Nforce4's hardware firewall and the other minor touches...however, I thought to be the nice neighbor, so I posted the A8N-SLI's price on AT's Hot Deals forum. One of their members brought something to my attention about the Neo4 Diamond...
No your eyes do not deceive you...this is indeed an onboard Creative APU!
