How to remove AC '97 connector from Antec Solo cable?

I'm trying to clean things up in my new build, doing some cable management, etc. I am using the Solo's front panel HD audio connector and don't need the AC '97 connector that is attached to the same cable. Can it be removed? I have the unused connector zip-tied back for now.
