HP Pavilion Rebuild. Troubleshooting cooling system
Posted: Fri Mar 07, 2014 6:31 pm
Hello,
I am new to this these forums been reading the archives and the many articles as well
as performing many Google and Yahoo searches.
I am rebuilding a pc from a HP Pavilion a6600f Chassis. I am looking to build a quieter
system my target is the cooling fans for now. Even with all the reading I feel I am still
not well versed in the matter or the market.
I come to the experts of SPCR to please lend me some advice may it be a product
suggestion or research material both are appreciated.
I am not one to expect hand holding I am willing to do my own homework if given the
right tools and assistance.
I am looking for a reliable quite preferably silent 92mm case fan with rpm monitoring.
Will be controlled by mainboard fan controller. Open to suggestions with Fanmat2
control.
This case is well vented:
1. 209mm cpu vent
2. 114/203mm disc drive vents
92mm case fan socket
The components list consists of:
Seasonic S12IIBronze 380W ATX12V
Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R/S2 Rev 1.0
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2200 2.2 GHz 775 Socket Stock Cooler
Crucial CT12864AA800 DDR2-800 1.8 V 2 GB
Hard Disc: Seagate Barracutta 250 GB Sata III
DVD Writer: Sony Optiarc
OS: Ubuntu Linux 12.04 LTS
Since the case is so well vented and the new psu has a 120mm ultra silent fan, and the
cpu is equipped with a 92mm, Is a system fan required?
If you wouldn't mind posting reference links that would be a big help, particularly to
merchants.
