24x7 - Low Power Consumption – Internet Download Machine
I want to build a System that has LOW POWER Consumption.
Use:
Mostly Downloading Stuffs , Might Host Own Cloud too , Email Clients , IRC Clients , Other Internet Connected Apps

I was thinking of a Kabini System
Athlon 5350 (25 W TDP) & Some AM1 Mother Board

Again I was thinking about the Intel G3258 Anniversary edition processor (But it has Much Larger TDP)
It should be A Windows 7 Machine . Not Linux or other what nots !
But I am Here for some Advice. I already told you my requirements.
Advise me - What should I do ?

I only want to buy
Processor + Motherboard + RAM
&
SMPS (PSU) + HDD
I have the rest

This is an interesting challenge, one i never looked into.
Besides Kabini, check the new Haswell mobile chips and those compatible with more common microATX/ITX mainboards. The G3258 is a waste of power.

Do you have the case already? It will limit motherboard and PSU choice.

If you're just downloading things, why restrict yourself to Windows? Hey, you could even use FreeDOS for that if you wanted! I'm just saying that Windows is rather a waste of money for what otherwise can be a very cheap system.

And depending on the efficiency your PSU has, it might not matter which CPU to get, if your PSU is not able to serve low power with decent efficiency, since we're talking around 30W@idle for the whole system or even less.

I cannot recommend anything without a tiny little bit of more info.

As for the PSU , Which One Do You Suggest ?
or What type ?
Platinum or a Gold will do ?
