Been browsing the forum, since I'm looking to put together a new pc. Goals for this pc to be quiet and cool. Current computer is loud, and is also is like a heater in the summer. Been tolerating it for a while now but I don't want to be sweating this summer... Thus I came across this forum which looks helpful.
Need to support 3+ monitors. Main uses are regular browsing, tv/movies/music, and software development.
Here's what I'm considering so far:
Case: Fractal Design Define R5 FD-CA-DEF-R5-BK-W Black Computer Case
Motherboard: ASUS Z97-A LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
PSU: Seasonic SS-660XP2 ATX 12V/EPS 12V, 660W
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K Devil's Canyon Quad-Core 3.5GHz LGA 1150
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Storage: Haven't decided yet.
Anything else I should consider?

Welcome to SPCR.
Your stressed load is under 140W. So, 660W PSU is a bit overkill.
What resolution monitors?
The Asus mobo has 1 ea DVI-D, HDMI, and Displayport output. I don't remember if Z97 has 3 PLLs to drive all three at the same time. If not, you'd either need to use monitors that allow for Displayport 1.2's Daisy chaining ability (PC->monitor1->monitor2) or add a discrete gfx card for the 3rd monitor.
You'll want an aftermarket CPU cooler. Check out the Scythe Kotetsu review.

For low power, if going with a fulll-size supply, why not go passive right off the bat? Either a 400W Seasonic, or maybe ~150W PicoPSU.PSU: Seasonic SS-660XP2 ATX 12V/EPS 12V, 660W
A nice SSD, of a usable size.Storage: Haven't decided yet.
CPU cooler. The included stock cooler will not be great to have under load, and you may get throttling just from it, too.Anything else I should consider?
You will likely need, or if not need, want, a video card, for the 3 monitors. What resolution will they be?

Re: Quiet and Cool PC build advice
I have a tv that would need to be on hdmi and my two monitors can be daisy chained. All would be at 1920x1080. Might add a graphics card later if needed.
Reviews look good for Scythe, I'll add that on.
Good point on the PSU. I'm considering the SeaSonic Platinum Series SS-400FL2 or Seasonic SS-460FL2.
