The one I selected has outstanding reviews
From who? About it there aren't many serious reviews around.
The L8 is a quite old (at least 5 years old) design, with sub-par performance and build quality, for contemporary best practices. Not to mention that the quoted E10 is vastly quieter than the L8.
All in all that L8 is just an acceptable but a tad overpriced PSU (for the electrical performances), with some cheap parts (most notably, the caps) and a good fan, a bit plagued by a comparatively low efficiency for any modern Intel platform. Check also the actual cables length: IIRC those were somewhat shorter than average, and that might pose problems in case.
