Hello everyone. I am from Belarus. I want build quiet gaming system. Before buying videocard I will use pc for poker(Holdem manager 2). I have chieftec gps-500c and ssd crucial mx100. Config which i made:
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K+delid.(i7-5820k slower https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocwwaVGUFtk and more power consumption)
Cooler: Thermalright TRUE Spirit 140 BW Rev.A
Memory: F4-3000C14D-16GVK (cheapest memory on samsung b-die chips with best overclocking)
Videocard: I will wait nvidia pascal and buy later.(400-500$ maybe).
Motherboard: I don't know. Which is best bios for fan control? I chose Asus Z170-a, but not sure, if it is better than Asrock Z170 Extreme4.
Case: I don't need 5.25 and 3.5 cages. I use only 2.5 ssd. What silent case you recommend with good videocard temperatures: Antec solo ii, Define S, Define R5 or other cases?

Welcome to SPCR.
I had no idea online poker requires such heavy resources!
Mobo: If you want BIOS level fan control, then Asus, MSI and Asrock are the best bets. Asus has the most advanced features...but I think the firmware still needs some bug removal/tweaking. If you want Windows s/w based fan control, then Asus is the best.
Case: If you don't have an optical drive and want an ATX midtower, then the Fractal Define S is a great choice. If you do have an optical drive, then there's the Define R5. Antec Solo II is very quiet, but with a big video card, the Fractals will run cooler..and close to the same noise wise.

Re: Gaming build
If you want to keep an optical drive and don't need all the drive bays of the R5 you could also consider the Corsair 600Q. I believe it is more expensive than the other cases listed though and the stock fans are not as good as the Fractal stock fans.
Re: Gaming build
thanks. Corsair 600Q don't sell in my country. I don't use optical drive. In define r5 vs define s I like sound dampening material on the front panel and rear panel is perforated. Define s and r5 use same chassis and same steel quality?

If you're going to buy a GTX-980-class Pascal, the Define S is appropriate.Pads9900 wrote:What silent case you recommend with good videocard temperatures: Antec solo ii, Define S, Define R5 or other cases?
If you're going to buy a GTX-980ti/Titan-X class Pascal, you might end better with a more open case.
