building a silent pc

Post by cagriyil » Sun Jan 15, 2017 4:40 am

Hi all!
First of all, I'm really happy to join this comunity.
As you can see, I want to build a silent computer. Gaming won't be the main purpous of this system. Silence is the most important thing, however, I might do some overclocking.
I will get i7 7700k cpu and gtx 1050 TI or 1060 gpu. I want suggestions about cpu cooler, PSU and case / fans.
For example, Noctua U14S sounds good in order to provide silence and performance.
Sorry if I made some spelling or grammer mistakes.
Thanks

Welcome to SPCR.

Here's a bunch of questions to help us provide better product suggestions.

1) What's your country? (some products are/aren't available worldwide)
2) Do you have a preferred etailer?
3) If not primarily a gaming PC, what are the applications that need an i7? (affects storage, RAM and gfx card)
4) If still going to be used for some gaming, what's your monitor resolution and what games are you looking to play?
5) Are there space constraints? Are you looking for ATX? uATX? mITX?
6) Does the case need an optical drive or other 5.25" bay?
7) Storage: Is there a single storage drive (like 1 SSD) or are there multiple HHDs, etc..?
8 - Budget.
