Add more RAM before prices go way up?

Since RAM prices are going up, should i buy more now? I dont do anything too intensive and am generally fine with my 16gb. I usually have 2-4GB available after my chrome tabs.

I currently have the 2400 but there's no price difference between the 2400 and the 2666 .

I went from 8GB to 16GB without any notable change in performance.
In fact some benchmark tests indicated a slight decrease.
I got some statements that if you regularly keep dozens of tabs open in your browser then there's a clear advantage in having more than 8GB RAM.
