I am trying to find a fanless laptop for a friend, they are insisting on one with an optical drive, and which runs Windows. Does anyone have any ideas?

They don't want one where you have to choose between inserting a hard drive or a optical drive, either. They are not interested in 'hybrids' or in touchscreen laptops...

I don't know of any offhand and think this might be a unicorn seach. Optical drives are the antithesis of "thinner" and are being systematically wiped out by laptop designers. Fanless means either Core M or Atom at the moment...and neither tend to lead toward a laptop with an optical drive.
