Passive Zalman:
ZM-NB47J

To remove all noise the zalman passive is the obvious option.Given the the 32J comes with thermal adheisive it seems to be the best choise.
BUT
There was one very critical problem, i have a blue cold cathode...and yellow simply would not do.... hahahah. Oh and i wasnt keen to glue the thing on.
SO
I was now faced with trying to attach the NICE BLUE HS to my ABIT with those damn hook attachments.
BACK TO THE FORUM SEARCH... from this i had 3 options
1) steal my brothers wire mount of his ABIT IC7MAX3.... or even purchase some music wire and bend it up to forma leaf sprine type attachement between the 2 diagonally oposite hooks.
2) cut up the ring mount. Remove the ring and use 2 pieces of dowel (or i even read about some dude useing knitting needles) under the remaing spring parts.
3) Remove the 3 prings from each corner of the ZM-NB47J so that it will fit under the entire current ring mount.
I decided on 3)
Though my plan of hacksaw and dremel fell short of a quality solution... The hacksaw worked well in removing the 9. Though once i started with the dremel it became quickly apparent that there was no way i as getting a flat surface. Meaning that weight disribution would be all off, eg placing undue pressure on areas of the NC CHIP.
SO
i used a milling machine to get it super flat (my fathers factory has one).
Granted not everyone has a milling machine handy.... but im sure a metal file would do a similar job. I jsut saw the machine and figured...hmmm....more power... hahah
