Sharing Internet between comp an 360

Post by denny8569 » Fri Feb 12, 2010 2:47 am

Hey all,
I'm networking illiterate so bear with me! My question is how to hookup a comp and 360 off of one lan line. I don't like wireless because of lagg. I'm already running off a router downstairs and ran one line upstairs to my room. Just wondering if there might be a splitter or something like for lan?

Hey, what you want is a Network Switch, for example :

or

as relatively affordable examples. You'll also want to pick up a couple of short CAT5 network cables. Plug the cable coming from downstairs into the switch, then plug the PC and the XBox into the switch via the new short network cables. It should all just work :)
