How about a wiki?

Post by lm » Tue Feb 05, 2008 4:46 pm

Forums are good for discussion, but they are bad for searching information.

There's a gazillion different threads on any popular pc part in these forums.

There's a massive amount of knowledge in the community, but it's hard to access.

How about a wiki? Users could add silence related information for any product or product group, and refine it. Things wouldn't get lost in the forum.

I think this could be a very valuable addition, and I can imagine that the very smart and helpful community of this site, me included, would populate it with high quality information!

Actually, I'm surprised so few other sites have stumbled across this idea. I think it's brilliant, and if such a thing happens I'll do what I can to contribute.

IIRC, there's already a pretty decent thread about this subject somewhere in this sub-forum. A search will probably turn it up.

EDIT:

Er, I'm in a good mood this morning, I did the hard work for you. :)

That thread seems pretty dead...

+1 for wiki tho, I'd be happy to contribute :)

I'd love a wiki. There is so much good information here, but digging through threads is clearly no the best way to find it.
