Hi,
I'm thinking of getting a 5.25 inch scythe quiet drive enclosure for my HDD. Before I do, I have 2 questions :
- Can you remove the rubber mounts on the side of the enclosure ?
- if yes, how wide would that make the enclosure (in other words, how thick are the rubber mounts) ?
Thank you for your answers !!!

Thanks for that quick reply
!!!
This is bigger than I thought...
...
How hard is it to squeeze this thing in a 5.25'' bay (~135mm) ? Scythe's website says the enclosure is 145mm wide... Seems that you have to squeeze a whole centimetre out of the rubber mounts
!!!

I just measured an old optical drive a have. Its 146mm wide.
I have never mounted the SQD in a 5.25" bay so i dont know how well it fits.
Hope that helps a bit.
