It's a Quiet Drive with fins! Spectacular, revolutionary breakthrough!

The review doesn't seem to have a noise test, only says it's good at quieting the drive.
Am I missing something? I'd like to know how it compares noise-wise with the Quiet Drive.

From my personal experience with the Himuro and the Quiet drive, I'd say the Himuro is much less effective. Its advantages are being cheaper, easier to assemble, and possibly cooler.

Thank you, Holy-Fire. So the Himuro gets 1-2 degrees better temps, if mounted in a 5.25" bay, probably due to the airflow through the fins.
But noise-wise it's not as good as the Quiet Drive. So it's out from my shopping list.

Too bad that it has the same poor mounting system. Soft mounting is essential with these, and I actually succeeded with that in a p182 case.
Makes an amazing difference in the sound output.
