WD 8TB RED questions (AAM levels and wdidle)

I just purchased a 8TB drive and it's not as quiet as the former 4TB Green when it comes to reads and writes, this despite being in a soft mounted Scythe Quietdrive.
Instantly I wanted to disable head parking as I usually do with WD drives but this doesn't seem to work at all. Is there a newer tool than 1.05 which does? I can't seem to locate and must admit that I'm not up to date with the bigger drives.
I'm fine with the drive when it comes to idle sound, but the read and writes are clearly more audible than WD Green, is there a AAM tool which functions with this drive? I don't mind slower access times, I just want to kill the sound from it.
