Is this how you calculate thermal resistance?
I remember reading something about (CPU-Case)/Case is thermal something. Is this thermal resistance or something gone horribly wrong? I finally got around to flipping my 12V Silencer so that it blows into my MCX-462 and replacing my case exhaust with an Enermax thermal fan. (I had case/cpu temps of approximately 49/60). Now I'm sitting comfortably at around 42/47, and a thermal resistance of .12 is something I've only heard of in really high end setups.

Think you misunderstood somewhere... I think the thermal resistance you are talking about is how they measure heatsink performance. Its measured in K/W (Kelvins per Watt - kelvins same as degrees celcius). It measures the rise in heat in your heatsink for each Watt off thermal energy put into it. Ie heatsink with a thermal efficiency of 0.12K/W would rise by 6*C with a 50W CPU under it. Values of 0.3K/W are more likely tho, in high performance CPU Heatsinks.
