Gentle Typhoon Alternative?

Post by Mankey » Mon Feb 08, 2016 2:05 pm

Can't seem to find Gentle Typhoons in reasonable speeds/prices anywhere.

Looking for something very quiet with good static pressure capabilities to push or pull air through pretty densely populated hot swap hard drive enclosure with no voltage or PWM control. (I could run a resistor in line, but I'd rather have it quiet at 12v to avoid extra work). The Gentle Typhoon @ 800-1150 RPM would be perfect I think, but I can't find them anywhere!

I had a 1200 RPM Silverstone case fan on there that was too noisy, then I tried a 500 RPM Slipstream that didn't cool enough.

Any suggestions?

What drive temps were you getting with the Slipstream?
