I'm starting to collect parts for a new build that I will be doing at the end of the year. I am interested in the Corsair 550D - wondering if there is likely to be a revised version out by then. Does anyone know if Corsair tweaks their new cases after they've been out for a while?

I had a 650D some time ago and Corsair started making an updated version with a fixed fan controller and rubber fan screws because the front 200mm fan was vibrating for a number of users.

Other then that change they did not make any substantial updates. I suspect the 550D will be the same, with only minor updates if their customers run into problems.

What exactly do you want to change or think will change that will affect you purchasing a 550D outright?

Also have you considered a P280 and/or R3? The P280/R3/550D are all in the same class of affordable silent mid-towers.

As I recall, the Antec P180 had a minor revision come out before they introduced the P190. Made me wonder if there might be a slight revision after the 550D has been out and people have given them feedback on any minor isses they have.

I have also looked at the P280.

Antec did a few revisions P180->P183 and some others.

Corsair doesn't really do that as of yet.
