Post by NeilBlanchard » Mon Apr 15, 2013 3:01 pm

This is a video taken right at the moment that the two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, today at 2:50pm EDT.

Two people were killed, including an 8 year old boy, and at least 28 people were injured; some quite severely including lost limbs. There are confirmed reports that they have a suspect in custody; the person is injured and in a Boston hospital under guard.

Three people have died now. And there are at least 124 in various hospitals around Boston.

Very tragic. I hope no one else dies. Latest update is that the second suspect has been captured alive.

Sorry to hear about this event happening in your state, Neil.

One thing that really concerns me is the 'crowdsourcing' people have taken to identify possible suspects. Publicly discussing this is dangerous. If you get the wrong person and label them as a terrorist then that puts them in danger and if you publicly identify someone without there being a plan in place to apprehend them then you are putting everyone in danger. The Police don't put all of their evidence out in public for very good reasons and I hope this crowdsourcing for crimes stops.
