I have a question.
I spend quite a lot of my time removing nastly software from people's PC's.
My personal opinion is that, there is NOT ONE single toolbar that is worth having.
Whether they are good or bad is irrelevant to me, the closest toolbar that gets close to being useful, is the Google toolbar, but why bother with that, why not just set your "Home Page" to google.???
Anyway, back to the point.
Is "Alexa", the same thing that "Spybot S+D", AND "AdAware" both detect as "Alexa Related" and suggest that you remove it.
If "Alexa" is what the two best "Free Malware" (in my opinion) removers detect, then with respect MikeC, you must surely be joking.!!!
Only Google recommend people install Evil Malware on their PC's, but that I am sure is just because money has a higher priority to Google, than Ethics.
All you have to do to prove this point is Google "stopsign", right at the top, whereas, all of the other items listed are how to get rid of the damned thing.
DO NOT EVER INSTALL STOIPSIGN ON YOUR PC UNLESS YOU HATE YOURSELF.
[EDIT]: I thought I best explain why Stopsign is such an evil product, simply put, it's almost impossible to get rid of, and it does the EXACT OPPOSITE of what it claims to do.
The Antivirus is useless.
It CREATES popups.
It IS spyware, and only removes competing products (kind of like Peter Kim).
I dont know or care if it blocks SPam, it probably reads your e-mails, and forwards the juicy ones.
Also there are huge amounts of people who have used it, due to the free on-line check, the on-line check finds things, when you buy it, they are mysteriously no where to be found.
