Loud Rattling fan on my S12-430

I have isolated the loud rattling noise that is clearly coming from a fan. I stopped my 3 yate loon fans, leaving only the fan in my Seasonic S12-430. The noise is a "relatively" loud rattle. It is by far the loudest component (the only other noise would be from the 2 low powered yate loons) Anyone ...

i have a T7K250 sata, and it does not make the head reset noise. it is VERY quiet AFTER i suspended it. However, i also did not change any of the settings to reduce the noise, cuz the performance on thsi bad boy rocks

well..i thogut graphics card as well...HOWEVER, its a 6600GT and the sensor in advanced settings, and NVtemp logger, shows a temp that is ALWAYS different.........

so that brings it a total of 6 sensors by speedfan, and the one on the graphics card that the display settings show

Where are the LM99 chip temp sensors on speedfan monitoring?

I have the Abit AN8 Sli, and speedfan show 6 temp sensors

1. cpu
2. pwm
3. HD
4. sys
5. LM99
6. LM99

what are these LM99 sensors monitoring???? the "BUS" info is "12CNVidia SMBus"

i have never heard a hard a head reset noise on my T7K250 160 gig...had it for 6 months..... i LOVE this damn HD... silent when suspended in my 3000b

oh the temps are fine..i have the NV temp logger and its showin its 55 idle right now, and the hottest idle it gets is 65 idle.....

well..i ran CPU burn and it seemed clear that the CPU measurement is actually for the CPU....running it, hte temp immedietly jumped 10 degrees, and after 2 minutes it was up 13, and the PWM jumped 3 and the system temp stayed the same.... so i spose the sensors are at least monitoring the right thin...

system is clocked down to 1,000 by cool n quiet.... the room isn't currently cold..its prob err, maybe upper (edit, somewhere in 70's..i can't really tell...hehe)

Here's what I would do (or well try): Remove the tricool fan and replace it with the 120mm nexus at 7V that you have. You shouldn't need a front fan. Ok, so my system temp is 33, and my CPU is 23..these are idle temps w/ the cpu on c 'n c.


amd 3000, xp120 w/ nexus 120
nexus 120 intake and exhaust
passive gigabyte 6600gt
s-12 430
ABIT AN8-SLI
antec 3000b

..even under load my CPU temps are usually a few degrees lower than the system temp....

SO, i am using Abit uGuru software for monitoring temps, and i recently upgraded the temp software... NOW, after this my CPU temps are at least 10 degrees lower... WHAT is going on with this, has anyone else noticed this happening on their AN8 SLI Boards????
