Blocking makes the sites so much cleaner (and faster). Can't do without it. And I seldom trouble myself with configuring the blocking for a specific site. Just block everything is very convenient. Unfortunately. If someone please implement an ad-blocker that keep track of how much ad-revenue I'm blo...

Re: Using Deans Ultra Plugs on PW-200-V & Dell DA-1 Bric

I'm working on a project using a Dell DA-1 150W power brick and PW-200-V to power an AM2 System based on the Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H. How did it turn out? I'm building a system using the same board (GA-MA78GM-SH2). As I expected I need to replace the PSU that came with my case, and that Dell 150W wi...

I can't read those for free off the internet  Been enjoying SPCR form some years now, and although I don't buy computer gear ofte...

The swedish price comparision site www.prisjakt.nu have a useful search function that includes passive or active cooling. There's also two subsections listing passively cooled cards. The VGA-cards entry page: http://www.prisjakt.nu/kategori.php?k=348 "Med passiv kylning" === "With passive coolning" ...

Seems you're right! If I unplug the network cable It doesn't boot when power is turned on... but I still have to switch back off, wait a few seconds and on again for the ethernet controller to come to life. Weird is what it is. Big question is if I can do something about it, already running the late...

wow, that is good. that shg.biz are getting seasonics that is. i wonder what exactly the 400W is, since seasonic only make 380 and 430W S-12s. i've mailed them about it. i am worried that the 500W is noiser than the 430 W, which i'd prefer. I also asked them about it, they say: "It is 400W - a bulk...

Just found out http://www.shg.biz/ will get the S12 in stock 2005-04-22. :D S12-400 859SEK S12-500 1227SEK S12-600 1534SEK Don't know what they mean by S12-400, but I would guess it's actually the S12-380. I also live in sweden and plan to buy a S12-430. my current plan is to buy it at siliconacoustics.com for Seasonic S12-430 99.99 Shipping: 43.75 that seems to be the cheapest way.. might also get some nexus fans at the same time. I've considered that deal too.. but you have to add ~$50 in custums &...

Does anyone have any idea how this might have happened or how I can fix it. I mean at some stage in the cpu's life the L2 cache has been turned off. The decrease in 3dmark01 seems to say this. My only guess is that the cache broke down, and the pocessor is clever enough to detect that and disable i...

:?: Does this mean my computer runs at 99% all the time? even when I'm idling? The whole point of folding is to do something useful with the cpu-cycles instead of just idling. So, yes, your computer will always run at 99%, since you are not idling anymore. If your computer gets to hot, you can set ...

On another note I tried running 3D mark2k1 on the slow 1700+ and it scored less than I remember when the comp was last updated. And 3D mark is reporting that the cpu has no L2 cache, which is weird. Anyone have any thoughts? Well, if it somehow lost the L2 cache it would explain the poor performanc...

I'm just new to folding..
I have a XP1700+ palomino, 2x256MB
Recently finished my first unit (600p gromacs, p1140), 34% on my second p1140..
It needs 1 hour per frame. Say SSE boost OK.
