I'm guessing about 2 watts max on startup (at 0-100 rpm) with the Fanmate turned up to maximum. At minimum, you can expect the power draw to be less than 1 watt for both fans combined. You could add more to that Fanmate and still be safe...as long as power draw is less or equal to .50 amp / 6 watts...

I really think 2GB RAM is overrated even for people who think they need it. As far as i know there is no "contract", it just so happens that seasonic makes thew most quiet PSUs. There might be others out there that are quieter, but it is impossible to recommend anything that you can't directly compare with the competition. Hello, The SeaSonic S12 430 would be a fine choice, with more than enough power. You could save a little money and go with DDR2-533 RAM? well, I want some oc headroom on the ram, and according to anandtech this transcend ddr 667 ram @ 2.2v should do atleast ddr900, also whats your take on the antec...

In the near future (about a couple of weeks) ill be building a system around these components : e6300 2gb ddr 667 250gb hdd 7600gs gigabyte s3 now I need a psu....dont really care about brand, just need something reliable that is quiet...and preferably under 100$...was thinking about a seasonic 430w...

There are numerous other online stores to choose from (just don't buy from Monarch Computers -- trust me on this one... :x) well, its places that I know and trust...but if you know other places lemme know might ch...

You might be able to use a VF900 passive on it, most 7600GS cards have a pretty small stock heatsink that runs passive. Is it an AGP card? no, its pci-e, btw I was looking around and just ordered the vf900...newegg had it for just over 30$....stock coler is like 1/4 of the size of this....so lets s...

its about the size of a regular mid tower case, airflow isnt that great, using a 120mm fan @ 800rpm in the front, and 80mm in the rear @ 2k rpm, probably gonna upgrade the rear to a 92mm nexus...anyhow thats it....anything quieter than the zalman ? i guess it would already be alot better than the cu...
