* I can't get CnQ working! I have installed the AMD CPU driver and enabled CnQ in the BIOS (and whatever else the manual suggested), but it's still not working. Help me please! Have you set your power scheme to maxium batery? (by default it's at Home/Office that is always at 100% speed and no power...

Re: My Reserator 1+ experience

I think that this should be setting off alarm bells that the issue is the flow in your loop to the CPU rather than the capacity of the Res to radiate the heat. The cards will be pumping out at least as much as the CPU, so ask yourself why the Res can keep the GPUs cool but not the CPU? If your CPU ...

Re: Few questions about Paspt fans

Thank four you awnser lm. Also I would like to know hoew "noisy" is the 8cm PAPST 8412 N/2GL E -12 dba . I have some of these, but I don't use them. They are definately not 12 dBA. They are pretty quiet when undervolted, but the problem is that the noise they make is a clicking sound, which I think...

dynamiks, you posted earlier saying you were buying an antec 500w phantom. Just wondering when you were expecting it? I was looking at the same psu/case and wanted to know what the cable lengths were like - and whether u needed extension cables. Awesome build by the way. I think I saw this on anoth...

Re: What is a reasonable Nforce4 chipset temperature?

... There's no chipset temp monitor on this MB, but I've stuck an analog sensor from the mCubed T-balancer right on top of the little heatsink that sits on the chipset. The measured temperature there rises quickly to 70 even under low load. It stays there though - doesn't ever rise above 71 even un...

Re: Reserator 1 Plus Heat Dissipation Ability

So does anybody here know, or know where i can find, how much heat the Zalman Reserator 1 Plus can dissipate. I'm planning and Athlon X2 4400+, northbridge, and 6600GT cooling loop and want to make sure it can handle it (and ideally leave some headroom to overclock the 4400+ a little bit or add a s...

I can't hear it even if I place my ear 1 inch from it  Now that is the kind of statement people around here will react to by saying, " Sheesh, the guy must be deaf, you can hear anything that close.. or maybe he's employed by Be-Quiet !" Are you sure you want to stand by that statement...

2 Phantom models 350 & 500

I had a Phantom 350 EC in my previous system for 7 months (it ran only a litlle warm to the touch on my good old P160, and it's already running on that system, my parents one by now). The voltages were very stable but a litlle lower than my actual Phantom 500 EC. I haven't had a single reason to com...

Yes I know, but ...

Einllel, the latest Plextor burner (the PX-740A) is a BenQ DW1640. Only the firmware is different. The hardware is converging. If you look at some of the DVD firmware hack sites, this becomes obvious when a single firmware works on a number of different drives from different manufacturers. It's pos...

Hi again, ATWindsor, The Reserator 1 Plus is louder in my actual setup (This time I cut the silicone tubs shorter than with the original one, I'm not sure, but this probably has some effect in the perceived sound, and there is a 20% of anticorrosion liquid from Zalman that has a different density th...

Some advises

Hi ATWindsor, I have a setup similar at what you are looking for. Before this system I had a 3500+ NewCastle with Reserator 1 into a Antec P160 with Antec Phantom 350 and a MSI K8N Neo 2 Platinum as motherboard with a GForce 4 Ti 4200 watercooled by the Reserator 1 too (ZM-GWB1). I had the 12 cm fan...

Mine only lasted 10 burns aprox.

I have suffered three DVD burner failures in last year (2 LiteOn's 832 and the last one a Benq DW1640). At the end I decided to buy a Plextor, and I have burned a pair of Spindles (of 25 pcs) in the last 6 months without a single problem (I will never buy a sub-60 € burner again). This are my two ce...

nothing wrong wuth the Phantom's (at least for me)

Hello, boys, I've been reading those forums for some time now (and of course the great reviews you make guys, congratullations), and all I can say is that my Phantom 350 has been working 24x7 since the end of December 2004 with zero problems. The only thing i'd change in the phantom is the blue led,...

One of my best buys: Reserator 1

I bought my Reserator 1 on July 2004, since then it has been working right and quiet. Sometimes it seems to start buzzing noticeably, but simply switching it off and on a couple of times the buzz diseapears (I think I have read that in the manual). I Also read that it is recomended to put something ...

Antec Phantom 350EC & SLI setups

In the near future I'm thinking of swapping my 3500 NewCastle with a Winchester one and my K8N Neo2 with a DFI Lan Party NForce 4 SLI or ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe with 2 x Gigabyte 6600 GT VF (Passive cooled ones). I hope my phantom will be able to cope with such a system. What do you think about it? Plea...

A happy Phantom owner

:D Mine Phantom has been working cool and with no problems since December. My PC is 24x7 "eMuling", and I'm used to playing HL2, GP4, NFSU 2, and Civ3 and never had a single problem even after 4 hours of intense gaming. Now I would buy it again, if I had to buy a new one. I can hardly hear my system...
