Re: The economy sucks!

I was asked why I think I would be good for this position. I proceeded to explain that I had a Bachelor's in Management, was in the top 7% of graduating business majors in the country, and had won several awards; not to mention the several years of managerial experience I acquired while attending c...

I heard a commentator on TV this evening mention that the bailout plan might include buying these toxic securities from foreign banks. Has anyone heard this? Are the US taxpayers going to be bailing out foreign banks?

How long will it take to get oil from new drilling? How much of our imported oil will it displace? And how long will that oil last once we do start getting some? I'm confused about the logic of increased oil drilling and the suggestion it moves the USA closer to energy independence. The Republicans...

In the US there's definitely a chicken egg problem with public transportation; people won't use the network until it's extensive and cheap, but public transportation companies can't make it like that until a lot of people start using it. How about implementing a stiff tax on gasoline, and using tha...

Any opinions on the Intel D975XBX2KR "Bad Axe 2" board?

This seems to be a generally well regarded motherboard with passive cooling. I'm thinking of this board with a Xeon 3060 CPU.

Does anyone here have experience under-volting and over-clocking this board?

I don't have a clue.

But I had a thought, could you use a rack and pinion arrangement to convert the rotary motion into linear motion, then use a linear damper? In an automobile, the steering wheel is connected to a rack and pinion. It is the linear motion of the rack that turns the wheels.

Interesting find for programmers

I stumbled across an interesting programming tool the other day. The site describes it as: Aurora is a powerful 32 bit compiler featuring an integrated development environment with advanced compiler, assembler, and linker. Aurora features a C-like syntax with high level commands making it ideal for ...

Nice job on the web site!

Unfortunately, Stellar Realms discontinued making the Galaxy Overview data available for external applications, hence the stats do not update.

Unfortunately, I do not know who they are yet, but I know there are some pretty stealthy foreign agents out there.
