I have a papst 24v 140mm. At 960 rpm I can't hear it, and it keeps the temps in the low 30s (amd64 3000, not idle: with mp3 player, browser, downloader working). The stuff is very easy to cut with any knife. Even scissors can do, it they're metal.

To join the stuff I use a variety of glues ( some don't work with some plastics), or cable ties passed through slits in the plastic, or I might use a soldering iron to weld pieces.

I have a 120mm fan blowing down on my agp card, and I use a cut-up plastic food container to direct part of that flow out the two pci slots below it.

Can someone tell me if the xp-120 can be oriented on an amd64 MB (asus k8v-x) so that air can blow through fins straight to the rear exhaust?
This would place the ends of the heatpipes either next to the ps or next to the agp card.

I just got an Aerogate 2 to monitor temps, and set fan speeds. Now it won't let me set fan speeds. I set them lower, and then they go up again even though temps are still in the low 30s. Is it because I didn't connect the cpu fan to this piece of crap?
