With so many wires there, he needs the extra fans to counter-act the lack of good airflow in the case. He should drop most of the fans, or start splicing them in parallel.
If they were all undervolted, I wonder how good the airflow is...probably wouldn't be too loud

even though i was trolling through the site for a while, I didn't see any of the bad posts about silenx. I only saw a couple of posts where someone was saying that they were the quietest. I gave it a try...at 12v, it doesn't push as much air as a panaflo, but it is definitely much quieter than it. I...

Re: fan stay on all the time?
Try downloading expertool...i'm not sure if it'll work with the TI series, but it has fan control for 2d and 3d...you can drop the 2d down to 50% fan speeduzibear wrote:looking to get a ti4200, but i'd like it for the fan to be off when i'm just playing music or surfing the net. is this possible??

I have an asus p4p800 deluxe I don't think so. Otherwise, my alarms would always be going off (my northbridge heatsink is too hot to touch). I used to even have stability/crash problems due to northbridge overheating For intel boards, they have 3 temps...cpu, mobo, and chipset. So I guess asus just ...

Unstable? Which manufacturer says the Zalman VF700-AlCu unstable? I think it works very well and is easy to install. Zalman does. Click here . It says: 2) Because the GeForce 6600 GT AGP's chipset is located towards the top area of the board unlike the PCIe version, installation of the cooler may b...

an update: I installed an nv6 on an MSI 6600gt PICExpress and it fits fine and is very quiet (claims 0.3 stones or something of the sort). There is NO clicking. The PCI-express version is different from the AGP version. I've been looking around, but there's nothing for 6600GT agp, except for a zalm...

so the only thing left really is the whine from hdd, which i doubt i can do anything about. I remember the hard drive on one of my pc's had an option of either performance or silence. I could go in and toggle it (I guess it goes slightly slower to quiet itself down a little). The default was perfor...

Re: Newly Installed XP-120; temps look right?
Then I warm the paste up in a heating blanket, to make it a little easier to work with. I then spread a thin layer on the chip and a very thin layer on the bottom of the XP-120. I've tried using just a little and I've tried using a bit more. Obviously I don't want to use too much. I have a p4 and a...

Thanks. I've been going around the forums, but didn't bother to register until now. I've always wondered why the northbridge fans were like that (vertical, towards the cpu). It made me have to hang the case fan in front of it, instead of directing it from the side. Having the cpu fan blow for both h...

new cpu fan/heatsink --> no need for northbridge cooling?
mobo: asus p4p800 deluxe cpu: pentium 4, 3.0 ghz @ 3.6 ghz First off, I've been following many of the articles and threads here. I just replaced my PSU and my fans, as well as added a fan controller. My PC's practically silent now! (ever since I built my computer, it has literally sounded like a vac...
