And for those in Australia, PC Case Gear now has the HR-05-SLI in stock for $46 ($14 more than the standard HR-05). URL can be found here.

Yep, Crossfire is ATI and SLI is NVIDIA. In general, it's only prudent to get a board capable of running a dual graphics card setup if you plan to buy both cards in close proximity to one another. Otherwise, by the time you plan to purchase a second card something new would've come out with a richer...

While I can't speak for this motherboard in particular, from what I've read a lot of the northbridge fans on the SLI motherboards are pretty poor quality. As a result they're noisy and wear down rather quickly. Refer to this thread for what's required in fitting the Premium passive heatsink to the D...

I'm definitely going to pick one of these up when they become available over in Australia. My stock northbridge heatsink on this K8N Diamond has been giving me a real headache (literally), and this SLI version of the HR-05 looks like it was designed with MSI motherboards in mind. If the current moth...

ASUS announces new SLI motherboards w/ passive cooling

Haven't seen this posted yet, so thought I'd mention it. It looks like ASUS has announced some new Athlon64 and Pentium 4 SLI motherboards. Besides having dual 16x PCI Express when using SLI (existing boards had dual 8x), it also uses a new heatpipe solution to take heat away from the chipset to two...

Thanks for all the input thus far. I went through a number of Bluefront's posts, but couldn't seem to find any recommendations for cases with good out of the box dust filtering solutions. Is it that there just aren't any out there? The SLK3000B looks like a good enough case in this regard, save for ...

Need case suggestions.

As the title of this thread suggests, I'm looking for suggestions on a good, quiet case. This wouldn't be such a problem were it not for the fact that none I've looked at seem able to satisfy my (somewhat neurotic) need for good dust filtration. There will always be dust, I know, but I'd like to kee...
